Agriculture is most certainly a job, but its also a way of life and life at Nickerson is rarely dull. No day is ever the same, some days we are discussing cropping plans over tea in a cosy office and others we are shouting up to a man in a tractor cab in the driving rain! One thing is certain, what we do is a vital cog in the machine of our island economy. Northern manager Douglas Bonn is quite right when he says “I work in the most important industry there is”.
