A new rape/kale hybrid producing excellent yields and a palatable crop in a short period of time.
Unicorn will establish quickly after sowing, producing a mass of very large green leaves that are palatable and disease free.
The large leaves are full of protein and are easily eaten, by sheep or dairy and beef cows.
Crops of Unicorn sown in May and June have the potential to “bounceback” after an initial grazing, this can be achieved by “back fencing” the initial crop and retaining a 20cm stem with leaf nodules that will allow bounce back regrowth to occur.
*Note: The plants ability to bounce back can be greatly influenced by the weather and grazing management.
