I grew up on a family arable farm of approximately 500 acres in northwest Cambridgeshire. I’ve always loved farming - from holding spanners for dad and raising chickens at aged 4 - to having my first go in a tractor to help with grain carting at harvest.
Later, I studied Agriculture with Crop Science at Hartpury University and got a passion for the technical aspects of seed and breeding from there.
I enjoy playing rugby, hockey and the annual ski holiday. Walking my 3 Labradors to inspect my father’s fields during the shooting season, always end up with the odd bird flying over my head as I am looking at emergence or pest and weed pressure.
I am proud to be a Nickerson Seed Specialist and look forward to adding to the company and its already high reputation through hard work and diligence. I am always eager to learn about new and different farming methods to combat the changes and challenges the industry is facing.
