Feldherr

Huge fresh yields from large orange roots.

  • End Use: : Dairy, Beef & Sheep
  • Harvesting Machinery: Leaf lifter
  • Utilisation: Lift and Clamp & Graze in the field
  • Harvest: October & November

More akin to a mangold, Feldherr will produce huge fresh yields from large orange roots.

If you want to produce a large fresh yield, then Feldherr is the variety for you! The roots grow 50% out of the ground and therefore can be grazed in situ. They are low in dry matter content which makes them easily eaten, especially by young livestock or ewes with broken teeth.

The roots can get very large which sometimes makes harvesting a little more difficult.

Strengths

  • Very high fresh yield

  • Ideal for young livestock

  • Mangold replacement
