With yields of 105% in its first year, Amarone joined the list as the second highest yielding variety in the North
Amarone is anything but conventional. Boasting the TuYV resistance trait exclusive to Limagrain's conventional portfolio, it gained its AHDB recommendation for the north region and has proven popular amongst growers in Scotland and the North of England. A short stiff stemmed variety with scores of 7 for light leaf spot and a 6 for phoma stem canker. The variety has strong autumn dynamic growth profile and great spring vigour.
