The Role

We are currently looking for a Seed Sales Specialist for the East Anglia area. 

The Role

Main Duties and Responsibilities 

• To achieve sales targets by product group/varieties/brands agreed with the company for each financial year.

• To agree and implement a sales business plan for development and retention of profitable accounts.

• To produce sales forecast by customer/species/variety for each sales campaign.

• To visit key farmers to promote and sell the company product portfolio. Where possible develop a multi-crop offering.

• To develop relationships with independent agronomy groups and farm groups to influence decisions at farm level.

• To follow up company marketing campaigns at farm level.

• To attend trade shows, set-up and manage demo sites across and events to support specific sales and marketing activity.

• To plan and present farmer agronomist meetings & demonstrations.

• To attend company sales meetings/training programmes.

• To continuously develop personal skills, commercial and technical and drive personal development plan.

• To adhere to the company credit and pricing policies.

• To report area and market activities to the management of the company using the relevant IT solutions available (CRM)

• To manage time and activity with customers using company CRM Sales Cockpit system.

• To create marketing lists to drive marketing intel and social media via CRM

• To use IT tools to input orders and new account. Main Duties and

• To present a positive image to customers and the industry at large

Health and Safety

Working Conditions 

 Visiting customers in person/working from home. Occasional travel to head office and to attend Company meetings/functions.

Personal Specification

Essential

 Proven track record of experience in selling

Practical farming experience

Good communication skills including written and verbal

Clean Driving Licence

Demonstrable working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Teams, and intermediate Excel capability

Desirable

 Existing customer/contact base
